EMU is making joke out of us, where is the upgrade it is the last day of NAMM and there is no news yet! all the big companies came out with their announcements to stay in the head of the spot lights for example see the extensive advertisement at Native Instruments, their web site is full with the news, but EMU web site is the same no hints no excitement. BORING why another customer will buy XL7 or MP7 :(( so my conclusion is that the upgrade will not be what we are expecting from EMU.

I disagree. We will see the new OS. Emu has demonstrated commitment to their users that exceeds that which you will see from many other manufacturers. They are working hard to address many fronts in a very difficult economy. Their products are fantastic. Just be patient. When have we ever seen a product that was deliverd on time by any manufacturer - ever? I know of none. Delivery is always a bit late from all MI manufacturers - and it is always because of taking extra time to make sure that the product is as good as can be within the general promised time frame, with no bugs. If you want an example of a different scenario - think of the Yamaha AN200. Great box - but it has a significant bug w/re to pattern switching. Yamaha has no intention of fixing it, and for those users who purchased the machine - they just have to accept that. So be patient - and be glad that it is Emu. --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, "dbaryosef <dbaryosef@y...>" < dbaryosef@y...> wrote:

Not to mention that Aaron already said the release of the new OS is at least a month off. It would be nice if people read before they started blathering. >From: "gongvibe " Reply-To: xl7@yahoogroups.com To: xl7@yahoogroups.com >Subject: [xl7] Re: EMU is making joke out of us, where is the upgrade it is >the last day of N?????? Its great to see such passion for a machine, people just want machines that they can express themselves with, the road is always going to be bumpy right. The only reason people are subscribing to this mailing list shows that, so if you are frustrated why not vent those feelings, if you want to defend EMU then why not. Just keep on doing it. My thoughts are EMU are not making a joke for the simple reason it does not make commercial sence. Ah well back to me cider !

That's not necessarily true. A lot of companies are simply announcing their releases. Roland won't actually alocate a lot of their new product until march or so... Hype is hype. We DO know that 2.0 will be released in about a month. Keep and mind that the EMU folks are working hard to finish this and they probably want it out there more than you do! props to a truely tight company... ----- Original Message ----- From: <dbaryosef@...> To: <xl7@yahoogroups.com> Sent: Sunday, January 19, 2003 1:06 PM Subject: [xl7] Re: EMU is making joke out of us, where is the upgrade it is the last day of N??????
