Digital editor opinions wanted + Contest......

Digital editor opinions wanted + Contest......

2003-01-14 by Positive Productions

Hi all,

   How's it going everyone?

As a current Pro Tools LE user, I want to upgrade to the new Digi 002 but don't have the money
to spring on it. But, I love the extremely easy lay-out and operation of Pro Tools (ie. drag and
drop , plug-ins, etc.)

What digital editor digital editor and sound card do y'all use that has 2capabilities
capablities, atleast 24 tracks, and a Pro Tool-like set-up. I don't need MIDI. I've tried Sonic
Foundry's editors and can't stand the painting feature (to load the audio.) Plus, I am looking to
spend less than $1,000.

Thanks in advance for your advice!

Realm, great idea to have us submit music to be posted onto the webpage. When's the next one
starting as I'd like to submit a tune soon. It would be great to have EMU or a record label
sponsor it. Then, maybe they can award us with some cool gear or a record contract. ;) We can
atlemaintainingight? Anyway, thanks for maitaining and uploading to that E-mu webpage!

    Have a good one everyone!!

JC

Well, let's get through the first one before we start planning another
one, ok? :) As for getting a record label to sponser it, good luck! Most
labels would want to hear a track before they committed to forking over a
decent ammount of cash that goes with putting out a record. As for Emu, I
asked them if they would be interesting in offering up some prizes for the
contest, but strangely never heard back from them....

Oh well, this is all just for fun anyway, and a chance to hear what other
listmembers are doing with the same gear we all own.
