Recording - Setup

2003-01-11 by dfamcory <dfamcory@yahoo.com>

I am a novice user and new to home recording so this question may
seem stupid to some of you. However, I need some assistance with
setup. I have several songs and patterns and I am trying to burn
them on CD. I am having trouble sending them to sound forge. My
setup is a midi cable to my PCs soundcard.

Read the previous messages from a day or so ago.

Basically midi does not send audio. You need to connect the
outputs of the unit (either analog or digital) into your soundcard
and record an audio track (as a .wav file).

Your soundcard probably has RCA inputs so youll need an RCA to 1/4
type cable (two).

Also you need to make sure all your sounds appear at the main outs,
not the sub ones. Otherwise you would need a mixer.
