E-mu Support: help us users who need a command station editor!

2003-01-07 by exdc <synthesis@telia.com>

Am I the only owner of one of these amazing machines (XL-7, MP-7,
Proteus 2500) that finds it incredible that after this many months of
solid cash buying on the part of tech-hungry users E-mu has still not
managed to solve the Proteus OS-bug that Emagic refers to as the
closed-loop bug (handshaking communication with the device doesn't
work)? Emagic has an incredibly good editor for the P2K, but it relies
heavily on a functional closed-loop transfer capability that the OS
for the P2K has solved but not the one for the P2500/MP-7/XL-7. Time
for E-mu to set aside a few dollars/hours and iron out the last
wrinkles from this OS so all this great sysex documentation is not
just wasted binary.

U're right michael,
i think emu people must have softs to edit the whole
machine (ie im only talking about the command station
cause ive no p2500 ;-)),
i'm waiting 4 anysoft that would be useful to edit my
mp7, but i dont want any emagic addon actually. im
working on sonar and dont want to learn something
else.

Wouldn't matter if it's SoundDiver, Unisyn, whatever, even PC if
absolutely necessary - I'll buy other software if it shows up,
whatever makes the sound-makers easier to program, I want it.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
