track 1 program retention problem reborn

track 1 program retention problem reborn

2002-12-23 by mikexl7 <curiousproductions@rogers.com>

Ok i thought i had this one figured out but it seems that the
problem at this point is not me. I have a pattern all laid out all
is well and then i start working on my set (switching from pattern
to pattern through differnt groups of programs) and things totaly
fall appart. my program for trak one will not update when i switch
to a new pattern it is just stuck on what i set it to. manualy.

I am so freaked out and over tired at this point i cant be shur if
it ever switches or not, ok yes it changes with some patterns i
rember now. but not all of them and this actualy puzzles me even
more.

can some one tell me what the hell is going on with my xl7 it has
not done this up untill the last month and it is a total drag to say
the least. I have a promoter asking me about the live pa and how
long it will be and so on and so forth and well it is stressfull
when i am not even shur if it will work and well the flyers are
out. I have not been in this shituation for a long time, ever since
the 1.31 os the box has behaved quite well i have to say and now
this. there is a ghost in my machien!! in need an exersisim to be
preformed.

And how do you access and use the diagnostic layer of the xl7 i
would like to know how to reset this thing its origonal state once
and for all so i can get back to making music.

Peace and thank you all for enduring a rant from this wacked out
over tired guy.

Mike G.

P.s. the trak is not set to external with no midi data in it or any
combonation of the above. Track one is my kicks and always is
internal right now so this is not an external midi problem.

If you can send me an example MIDI file from the offending pattern, I
might be able to help...

Re: track 1 program retention problem reborn

Hi Aaron first off happy new year.

As for the pattern problem I was having i just inilized the the
xl7 and recreated the pattern from scratch. Now things seem to be
fine. I looked at it as a new year fresh start kinda thing.

So in doing this it seems that the problem was in the pattern,
probibly not a bug. I am not shur what kind of data i could have
put in the pattern to make this happen. Do you have any ideas as to
what that could have been? I would like to try and keep it from
happening again. It was very odd and I have no idea myself.

Thanks for getting back to me on this one and any info would be
great.

Mike G.
