ZerohertZ

2002-12-22 by rick jenkins

Hello everyone

Just joined the group so I don't know any of you people.
Just to introduce myself I am the father of a talented son Chris who is
just 16 years old. Hes been using the MP-7 for 12 months now
and his music is now developing at a rocket pace. he has two modules on
board and will have the X-lead on board this christmas.

I/we are interested in how the module performes live do any of you use
it live maybe with other artists performing vocals ?
I am trying to hook up with a girl Rap band here in the UK who are
looking for a beatmaker and wondered if it works in the live
setting

I'm not musical myself and tend to get lumbered with the techy stuff.

Anyways if your interested check out http://www.zerohertz.com

Cheers

Rick Jenkins

I use mine out live, though not as much lately. Works good since OS1.31,
you shouldn't have any issues.

One issue is that the knobs can accidentally latch; it's best to keep
them turned all the way to the left (or right) whenever you're not
using them.

Thats interesting because we are using OS1.31 and occasionally (and it
is not often)we get
a problem where we get a continuous spurious sound generated, the only
way to get rid of it
is to shutdown and reboot, obviously if this occurred during a live
performance then it would
be a great problem.
Interested to find out if anyone else has experienced this or maybe it
something we are doing ?

There is a bug involving the master volume knob: it often puts out a
loud squeal when going from zero to non-zero or vice versa. I think
this is a known bug. Otherwise, it sounds as if you have a stuck note
somewhere.

Try turning the volume knob to and from zero while the unit is playing.
