Price Cuts

I can see why some of you are pretty wound about the price cuts. Just wanted to offer my own view, as a counterweight to some others. I work in the computer biz. Stuff I buy goes down in price all the time, or the company goes under. Either way its not a picnic. I have not seen this newsletter myself, so I don't know what it says. But my two cents is that if Emu has found a way to lower their cost on these units, they have two choices. 1) Pocket the money 2) Pass along the savings to the consumers. Lets see here. US company, makes cool stuff in Silicon Valley, and they are going to pass along the savings? Sounds like a company that has its head in the right place to me. Ok, some of you are worked up because you could have saved cash. Myself as well (mine is just a couple of weeks old). But it also means that these boxes will be more plentiful. That means more upgrades. I would hope that Emu offers some nice thanks to the folks who staked early and rode through the bugs to make this thing the platform it is today. Hey... it could be worse. You could have bought a Waldorf Q when they came out. 2 years later and it is starting to work as promised... (reaches for a barf bag so his Q won't get messy) Sorry some of you feel burnt. Get used to it. In the world of Tech the price usually comes down. Lots of times it will happen the day after you buy it. UGH. Now, lets hope they decide to make a new E-Chip that can handle resonance changes in real time! ;-) Bruce
