Simple little OS feature request

Simple little OS feature request

2002-12-11 by Nick Rothwell

This one *must* be simple (or alternatively, totally impossible): can
we have a flashing or solid block for the cursor rather than just the
flashing underline? It would make editing a lot faster by cutting down
the squint-to-find-the-cursor time. (I suppose it might mess up the
Mix->Volume page though.)

Speaking of which, anyone else having problems with settings made to
volume in the mixer page not being saved everytime? Ran into this
last night when I was adjusting the levels of my tracks in a
pattern. I would cursor over and use the Data wheel to change the
volume to what I wanted, then save the pattern. Sometimes the
pattern would save with the correct settings, other times the
previous settings were still retained.

I tried to use the Stopx3 to reload the pattern parameters (both
before and after the save), though that didn't solve it either. This
was a weird bug to me, as performing the exact same procedure to
replicate it didn't always work. Sometimes it would save the
changes, sometimes it wouldn't. I couldn't figure out why it did
this, but I was able to reproduce it readily with numerous patterns.
I'd say it only saved the changes correctly 1 times in 3. Anyone
else confirm this?
