Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

I''m still learning how to use the xl-7 and am having trouble w/ a couple 
things..  I go to an empty sequence and make a breakbeat thats 8 bars long.  
My first question is how can i loop it so it just plays these 8 bars over and 
over.. My other question is how would I go about to save this.. once i save 
this sequence will all the effects,volumes, and panning be saved too?  
My last keyboard was an asr-10 and after making a sequence I would go into 
"song mode" and i could tell the keyboard what instruments I wanted in each 
bar.  Is there a similar function on the xl-7?  i will greatly appreciate any 
help I can get.. Im trying to learn still but am having trouble understanding 
some stuff...

those 8 measures when you press play.  It's the second menu in Pattern
