Check this!

Check this!

2002-12-05 by Ravi Ivan Sharma

Although some of you may have already seen the following
information, it will probably be new to others of you. It is
important, especially now that your privacy is being threatened on
so many fronts simultaneously. This concerns ANYONE who is either on
any Yahoo mailing list, or who is a member of Yahoo but is not on
any list . Yahoo! is now using something called "Web beacons" to
track Yahoo! users around the Internet and see what you are doing.
Seems these beacons work like cookies. Go to this URL:
http://privacy.yahoo.com/privacy/us/pixels/details.html

About halfway down the page (on the right side), in the "Outside the
Yahoo! Network" section, there is a "click here" link at the end of
the paragraph that lets you OPT OUT of their electronic snooping.
Protect your privacy. Pass this info along to all your
buddies/groups too." Also note that:

Note: This opt-out applies to a specific browser rather than a
specific user. Therefore you will have to opt-out separately from
each computer or browser that you use.

C'mon, was that Bush-bash really necessary? Shouldn't we
probably leave politics out of this group? Believe it or not, some
musicians are conservatives. And while *I* try not to wax political
in non-political forums, posts like the above have been known to
turn even the most civil BBS into a hotbed of personal attacks
and petty squabbling.

Sorry, but I've just seen too many good boards go straight down
the toilet when politics start being discussed.

Yeah and the trashing usually starts with someone like you complains
and makes their own political statement and someone like me
answering someone like you. If a board is good, it can withstand
political statements unless the list members actually don't really
care about music or the real topic of the list, so bring it on, trya
and blow it up, weed out the chaff! :)

So, is are the command stations preferred by more conservatives? As
opposed the liberal grooveboxes LOL!! :)

I always though the West should have won the Civil War.

Discuss.

hehe,
i tend to assume that other musicians i relate with over the internet
share some/most of my views/values (certainly, the musicians i deal
with in real life do...free thinkers, spiritual rather than
religious, open to just about anything). sometimes i get sideswiped
when i realize that many, many musicians, using the same tools i do,
make nothing but "christian music", and do so because they are
wholeheartedly there. sometimes it's a bit shocking.

Sorry if I seemed to jump on you. It was unintentional. Thursday
was a reeeeeally bad day. I was a bit on edge. I regretted the
post from pretty much the time I hit "Send".
