HELP: Sequencing

1. how can I programm a whole note over all 16
steps (or even more..); like a hold note? is there any other possiblity as
realtimerecording?
2. can I program "SLIDES" or GLIDING
notes?
3. I´ve sold my Roland MC-80 for da Xl-7... but now
I´m searchin the MIDIpage where I can place programmchanges.... with the MC-80 I
had place them via step modus.... but @ the XL-7 the step modus is a joke....
hope they will make it better with the next update!!!!
would be great if someone could answer my
questinons....
