XX-7 as Controller of Logic Audio?

XX-7 as Controller of Logic Audio?

2002-11-06 by betek070167

Hi. I'm using LAMP 5.3 w/ Mac OS 9.2.2.....I'm using logic as a
main Sequencer and XL-7 as a sound module and a controller
but I can not set up XL-7 as a controller like I want....I want to set
up XL-7's 16 knobs to control Logic Mixer Fader 1-16 etc.....then I
switch to another multi setup then XL-7 now controll Logic
Mixer's Pan 1-16 etc......But right now, any one of 16 knobs
control just 1 channel whatever selected in Logic Mixer.......I think
it can be done....I just don't know how......Will you guys please
help me out? Any Logic Users?

I don't know Logic, but I do know a lot of MIDI gear has an option to
route any incoming MIDI channel to the particular channel you are
working on. Poke around in your Logic options and see if there is an
option similar to the 'feature' I just described.

Hope that helps.

Programmable knob mode was made for you. In the PROGRAMMABLE KNOBS
screen (8th in the Controllers menu) set each knob to be Ctrl:7,
Ch:<equal to the knob> and ext. Save that multisetup. Then edit all
the "Ctrl:" to 10. Save that multi. Then, simply flick the knob
selector to "PROGRAM" and dial away!

This is of course presuming that logic takes controller 7 & 10 (vol &
pan) on a per channel basis to control its fader & pan. If not, simply
subsitute the correct channel and controller in the PROGRAMMABLE KNOBS
screen...
