I really like the bass sounds in the ROM. I also like the electronic Kicks, all the snares and cymbals and several of the percussion sounds. The SFX are amixed bag, but the synths sounds are great jumping off points. It's fun to do layers with the bass sounds or add chorus and/or filters.

I have just installed the BGROM and when I use Proteum to create a .INS the ROM shows up as Beat Garden but there aren't any PATCH NAMES or CAT DESIGNATIONS. I installed this ROM into a XL7 with the XL7 ROM installed as well .... XL presets and cats show up fine. I have tried changing slots to no avail. I also have an MP7 with the MPhatROM... COMP ... DRUM and WORLD installed ... I have used PROTEUM to create .INS for Cakewalk and it works PERFECT I am baffeled as to why it is not showing PATCHES or CATS ??? If I hit audition it shows as MSB 67 and LSB 2 .... Any Clues ?? Thanks Mike Cap ...

YOu may need to go in under Setup and select Create Initialization File. It's been a while, but as I recall I had this same problem, and that's what fixed it. Hi Mike, I tried to respond to your email on this, but the return mail address was wrong, so my reply was bounced. No worries though because it seems to be sorted. However, if I do a new version of Proteum, I'll put something in to detect if the ROMs don't match the initialisation file and prompt the user to recreate the file as it sounds like it is something that catches people out.
