I thought those Mac TV commercials said everything was so much easier on a
Mac? :)

In OS X you don`t need OMS. The new Midisystem is from the programmer of
OMS. OMS is only for OS 9

***It is. Until you use OMS. Mac - great. OMS - dead and problematic.
Still, after months of frustration, even I light up with glee when it
all finally works (very delicate balance DON"T TOUCH A THING it is
working) Actually it would probably all be fine if one was running an
OMS based suite of apps. Hope this all gets figured out one day. We
have app development surging ahead in 2002 and interface development
stalled at 1997. I do understand the problem -there needs to be
something that is universal. I wish everyone would write for FreeMIDI
instead. Far superior in my opinion. Or pick another one. Any other
one.

Oh, it is ... except when a de-facto communication standard is locked
up in proprietary, binary-only code owned by a company which gets
taken over and eviscerated by Gibson.
