Rom burning

2002-10-23 by erik_magrini@Baxter.com

Why is there still so much excitment about Rom burning?

>>>For me at least, there's wanting to add my own drum samples to my
XL-7's pallette. I've got a ton of drum samples I've been collecting,
that make up the majority of my tunes. To have those inside the XL-7
would me I could use that to program my beats, and not Reason. <<<

Will someone prove me wrong and explain why we should keep pestering emu
about this elaborate, unlikely, expensive and ultimately pretty boring
potential feature?

>>>Yes, it's expensive, but (again, only for me) I like to bring my XL-7
to my DJ gigs, and many times space

Doh! Take two....

>>>Yes, it's expensive, but (again, only for me) I like to bring my XL-7
to my DJ gigs, and many times space (and outlets) are at a premium. Having
the ability to use my own samples without the need for an additional
sampler would be nice in this case too. Although, not too sure how
practical this really is, since 32MB would probably not be sufficient for
my live needs. Still, if Emu were to add this feature, the Roms might
come down in price, and go up in size. We can always dream no? :) <<<
