FIRST YOU ARE ALL COOL !!!!!!!! THANKS BUT ::: I can play presets means rom is installed corectlly PROBLEMS is with PATTERNS form MP7 when I loaded using either cubase or emu loader pattern and play and preset keep saying NOT INSTALLED HEEEEEEEELP before I smashed this BABY :) PEACE ALL

Check to make sure you have a midi signal. Try a re-sync with the e-Loader. The patterns are designed to select presets from the MP-7 ROM, not the Pure Phatt ROM. They have the same samples, but different presets and different IDs. you can play the presets, you just have to mess around with the instruments. i am assuming you dloaded the mp-7 patterns into an xl-1... the sequencer info is there, so just swap out the "not loaded" instruments, with some that you have. it might not be the exact sound that emu had in mind when they wrote the preset, but you can get the basic groove and work it into something neat...
