Sequence deletion/corruption on playback?

Sequence deletion/corruption on playback?

2002-09-16 by Nick Rothwell

I can happily grid-record stuff onto a track, but all of a sudden,
nothing happens when I come out of record mode and just play the
pattern. The events are there in the editor. The LED for the track
blinks when in grid mode but not when in play mode. I've exported the
pattern and examined it in Performer - looks fine. I've re-imported it
- still broken. The older tracks with material on them record and play
fine. Other tracks which should be empty will not record.

Looks like a nasty sequencer bug to me. Anyone have any ideas?

Oh - oops. I guess turning on the track enable button helps...

Let's assume for a second that I'm not still being thick here: when I
grid-record into (say) Track 6, all the events are on C01, even though
the track assignment for Track 6 is C06. This is true for int, ext and
both. Interestingly, when the track is ext, the EVENT data (patch
change etc.) is on C06, but the notes are still on C01.

When I SAVE the sequence and go back to it later, the note events are
mysteriously on the correct channel (C06).

Am I just losing it here?

hjave you checked the destination parameters in the pattern mode? i had
a problem similar to this... when i upgraded my os they put a lil
destination selecter in the pattern menu..basically it sets whether the
notes are for internal, external or both. i was trying to trigger stuff
off my sampler.... i could see my notes but they just wouldn't trigger
until i changed the destination to ext....
just a thought....
