New E-Mu polls

New E-Mu polls

2002-09-09 by Brent Elder

E-Mu has set up several new polls on

www.freepolls.com, in the interest of soliciting input from the user community. Your vote matters! The marketing and engineering groups will be taking the results into consideration in charting future strategic directions and priorities for product development. Here are the links to the polls:

PC/Mac used for music creation:

Music creation activities:

$699??

2002-09-10 by Mark Pipher

I just received an e-mail from Zzounds that has the Command Stations slashed to $699. Ouch.

It\u2019s a great bargain if anyone has been hesitant or seriously considering buying one. Congratulate yourself for holding out.

It is, part number 9140, named Proteus POP Collection. It also has the
bonus bank from the PK-6 that has several beat and jam presets. If your
dealer does not have it, let him know it's available.

Wait. NO NEW OS was EVER announced for September in this group, ever. Sean merely stated that he should have a word on this issue in September. Such word could be that there is NO word. Face it. I don't like either, but let's not post incorrect information just because.

I paid even 100 Euros more for it!!!
Then I waited 8 months for a working, bugfree OS 1.31. One year after
I purchased it, it has lost about a third of its value. I know, first
movers will have to pay more than the patient, but this is a very bad
example. I don´t understand EMUs price politics concerning expansion
Roms. (30 to 40 % of the whole machine???) And the price for the
sample Rom is simply ridiculous. Is there anybody who ever bought it?

Now, I´m very curious about the new OS:
First, it has been announced for september in this group. Now they
discuss this matter to let us know if they will proceed with it at
the end of september. Two weeks to go. Patience is a virtue... I
should have known before I bought my gear ;-)
