Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

I'm still debating on getting the XL-7, although I did spend some time on 
it at Guitar Center last week and liked what I saw so far.  But,is there a 
way to quickly solo a part, or even reverse the mute status of parts in 
the current pattern?  I asked the guy at the store (who was so proud to be 
"certified" after spending two days in Emu training) this question.  He 
just slid his finger across the mute buttons real quick, and it sorta 
worked.  I'd like to know if there's a more accurate way.

I don't see that feature anywhere in the manual.  The "trick" that 
the Guitar Center rep showed you appears in the margin of the 
manual.  I hope EMU adds track solo or reverse mute functions.

Is it possible to make your own drum kits with the included samples?  What 
about editing the existing ones?  There's a whole keyboard worth of 
instruments mapped out in each one, but still only 4 layers to edit.  How 
do you know which drum samples are in each layer?  Is it possible to swap 
samples within the existing kits for other XL-7 samples?

Sorry so many questions, but I just got my XL-7 last week, got a lot of 
catching up to do :)
