Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

will someone PLEASE tell me how the hell do i transfer stuff from my pc to my 
xl7?
I have a usb cord connected from my PC to my xl7 but it says its looking for 
midi device?, I dont get online often so if you could email me as well as 
posting this note, that would be excellent.    itstheflowshow@...

Hi,

as far as I know the USB connection has no function, perhaps it will change
in a new OS, what you need is a Midi Connection to use MIDI Dumb.

The USB port can be used to transfer Patterns via E-Loader, but that is it 
at this time. 

I agree, we need a better option for backing up Presets than just MIDI 
dumps, too long to do, and impossible to organize that way.  Especially 
since there's no removable media onboard :)
