Piano tone

Piano tone

2002-08-08 by eleventhhourbassgp

I am new to the XL-7. I will be using it for triggering sequences,
and covering keyboard and other tones via midi foot pedal in my
band. I will also be using it for similar in solo recording
efforts. Has anyone been able to get a decent piano tone? I noticed
that there really isn't a good stock one. The raw piano wave doesn't
sound that great either. Let me know if you've had any luck creating
one.
Thanks
G

I found 10 different piano type instruments on the ROM, #'s 361, 362,
363, 415, 416, 417, 418, 419, 438 and 494. Go to user bank 2 a pick
preset 118, go to the edit preset screen and use combinations of any
of the ones listed above. Each preset can have 4 layers. Some use
them, some don't. You can even link presets together for 12 layers.

I'm sure one of the combinations will work. Since you are near York,
give me a shout and I can help you.
