Garrison,
I have not been able to re-create your situation. But, there may be
an issue with the order in which you pick the next track, or channel.
A Pattern should ALWAYS remember what sounds you picked.
The thing you MUST remember to do when sequencing, as you progress
from track to track is to make sure you are advancing TRACKS, not
CHANNELS.
For instance; when finished with track 1 and you wish to record on
track 2, you need to make sure that the LCD screen is showing the
TRACK # in the upper left corner, NOT THE CHANNEL #, before using the
Track/Channel +/- button to advance the track #. The PRESET button
below the LCD screen must be OFF when you want to change tracks. What
usually happens (if done wrong)is that everything sounds fine until
you come back to the pattern, and everything is goofy.
The best way to remember this proceedure is to turn the PRESET button
ON only when initially setting up what sounds you want on what
channels. Of course, you can go there any time to make on the spot
adjustments or to audition sounds, just remember to turn it OFF when
finished setting up sounds. The bottom line...during the pattern
sequencing process, you want your display to be showing the PATTERN
MODE so all you have to do is advance your track number.
I hope I'm not totally off base here, but similar situations have
come up with this being the fix. GOOD LUCK!
