New Tracks for review

New Tracks for review

2002-07-31 by Darren E

Finally I've got the tracks up that I created.

I uploaded the songs to MP3.com and Vitaminic.co.uk - Vitaminic is obviously a faster service.

It's either of the two- right now the darren_e2 one works but they are supposed to be changing it to the first one.

http://stage.vitaminic.co.uk/main/darren_e/
http://stage.vitaminic.co.uk/main/darren_e2/

I'd love any feedback and or suggestions since I'm relatively new to Logic and final mastering especially. These were mixed entirely by headphones since my monitors are on the floor until I set them up with proper stands.

For full effect, download the tracks and play them back with WinAmp along with the KataFX 2.0 visualization plug-in effects.

Anyway,
Thanks for taking the time to review my tunes.

As far as I'm concerned, it's an apple for an apple, you listened to many of
ours, sooo....granted, this forum IS dedicated to the xx-7's, but xx-7's are
dedicated to music, so in a roundabout, thats what its ALL about...

I liked the synth work and programming in Hypnotize, some of the melodies
were a bit too far on the happy side for my tastes, but in being an
engineer, I can easily look past that to the fundamentals...nice solid
sound, smooth mix, fluid textures, I like :)

Just FYI...
I want an XL-7...I'm on this list because I want to see the good & the bad of what to expect when the time comes that I can afford to purchase one.
I like the synth engine of the XL-7 and the punchiness of the drums.
I'm also on this list because lists are excellent resources...My kind of music as with most of everyone else here is probably beat driven and I'd hate to pass on a resource.
