Is it anything other than a new XL box, in four spaces?

I am a little surprised by this developement. It seems the XL-7 and 
MP-7 would be the logical progression from the Proteus 2500. Not the 
other way around. The new Proteus is bulky(not for table-top use), 
doesn't have the velocity sensitive key-pads(or the toutch strip), and 
is kinda ugly too. I guess it'll appeal more to a different market 
than the XL-7 and MP-7. Their Dance & Hip-Hop natures might scare off 
some buyers that the Proteus 2500 won't.
