emu xl7 vs. akai mpc's for sequencing

Can i please get some opinions. i am looking for the best, easy to use hardware sequencer for both live and home production. i have been debating between the two, and have heard alot of good stuff about the akai. is the emu more focused to the synth or is the sequencer better?\ thanks!
