my wishlist

my wishlist

2002-06-04 by Alexander Rüsberg

after spending the whole nigh in front of my xl7 I\ufffdve found some things that
i would like to see in future software version :

1) a transpose function for each track. i know it\ufffds possible to do this with
the transpose function in the pattern edit menu, but i think of a
non-destructive version, that may be located in the multi section before the
fx settings.

2) a "master" arpeggiator for every channel, so that you can safe the arp
settings for each channel in a pattern / multisetup. this is usefull when
you are using one sound with 3 or 4 different arp patterns during a song.

3) a way to set the mutes for the next pattern. let\ufffds say you select another
pattern during play and you hit enter. imagine how cool it would be if you
can hold down enter and the mute settings for the next pattern a shown
instead of the active ones. while holding down enter you can preselect the
mutes for the next pattern

4) a pattern should remember the empty track settings (channel % ext / int )
if the track is set to ext. it\ufffds annoying when i set up a track for my
external synth to jam and whenever i change a pattern it\ufffds gone.

it\ufffds 5:30 in the morning..... the alarm clock is set to 7:00 ..........

>>>Just rename each Preset with a different name, and save them to new locations with the Arps you want. Not what you're looking for per se, but it will give you the exact same results. <<<

>>>Cool idea! ;As a live sequencer, the XX-7's still have a way to go in terms of integrating more options for smoothing out Pattern changes so they're not so abrupt. Sure you preprogram your Pattern with the proper mute settings saved, but sometimes in the heat of a show you want moer flexibility. Great idea again! <<<
