Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Can the xl-7 arpeggiators be used to play on external midi channels? I've 
set the 'arp/riff midi out' setting to send both arps and riffs but can't 
get them to send to synths connected to midi port A or B.

The arps are set to 'on' on both the preset and the master arp settings but 
there must be something I'm missing (ie. should I be using the preset arp 
settings when I'm routing that channel to external gear?). Any suggestions 
where I might be going wrong?

You need to set the channel with the arp you want to play to send 
midi internal only. The arp send should be setup the way you have it. 
Play the arp and the associated external midi channel will recive the 
arpegiated notes. If you dont want to hear the xl-7 you have to set 
the volume on the xl-7 side to 0.
