Hi

I had some trouble with MIDI files. THis is the problem :

1. I catch a midi file from my XL-7.
2. I deploy it onto CUBASE (V.3.7, win2K).
3. I edit these tracks :
   1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9, 11, 14, 15.
   the tracks 10, 12,13 and 16 do not exist.
4. I wrap my midi file and upload it to my XL-7.

FIRST SURPRISE :

I must change pattern (backwards and upwards) to get my uploaded pattern OK.
Otherwise it completely bugs.


SECOND SURPRISE : (not very funny this one)

The XL-7 Has mapped tracks
    1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12
    instead of
    1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9, 11, 14, 15.

RESULT :
   If you edit the prests on CUBASE, the presets of tracks 10,11 and 12 may
be wrong.

CAN ANYONE HELP ME WITH TO AVOID THIS BEHAVIOUR?

SECOND SURPRISE : (not very funny this one)  The XL-7 Has mapped tracks 
1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12  instead of
1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9, 11, 14, 15.

work, try this.  Even though you don't use 10, 12, and 13, just draw in a 
blank part with the pencil tool for those parts, it doesn't need to 
contain any info or anything.  Now it should save properly and download 
into the XL-7 just fine.  Do a search on this in our list page at 
yahoogroups.com, there's been quite a bit of talk about this in the past 
so you shoudl find many posts on it.  Emu should consider putting a blurb 
about this on their Tips page ;)< <<

messages.
