Recording grid mode midi channel to ext

Recording grid mode midi channel to ext

2002-04-14 by shredbabe

Hi,

I'm enjoying the new OS!

Question:

- when recording in grid mode with the midi channel set to ext, the
screen doesn't give the key touched, it remains at C1 (for example)
whatever pad or keyboard key I press.
- is it possible when I have a 6 bar pattern and I only want to grid
record bar 3 it loops at bar 3 only, so I can easily program that bar?

BTW any comments on the new Luke Slater? No techno but eighties. Some
songs are absolutely great, some are made with only a Casio SK1, by
the hear of it.

Completely of topic (again): where can I buy the Girls On Top CD?

Kind regards,
Richard

YES! I have the same question...why doesn't grid mode work the same
way for external gear? When you switch from INT to EXT the Grid
markers on the screen stop corresponding to the keypads presses.
Makng you have to scroll and hand enter each note...kinda takes the
musicality out of composing.

ANYONE?

Thanks,
Brooks

Cuz I messed up... =)

One workaround is to set the track to "both" and turn the internal
channel volume down for the corresponding internal channel.
