I've been gigging 1-2 times a month since January. So far, no trainwrecks (fingers crossed) :>
I've hit record a bunch of times, and I've hit the on/off switch twice.

I use a XL-7 occasionally live, what kind of questions do you have?

basicall: does the seequencer still run stable when you change
parameters live? heard some stories about bugs and frozen modules...
And: is it true that there is no posibility to save the mididata
onboard (no smart card or so)? Does that mean I can't load songs on
stage. Everything has to be on the machine already?

>>> Well, I hate to say it but in the past there were some issues with
lock ups and stuck notes. I'm willing to bet that the new OS takes care
of a lot of those problems, it seems much more stable to me compared to
the older OS's. You should be fine using it live, I mean the Crystal
Method do it right? (joke) ;)

Just remember the #1 rule about live stuff. If it can go wrong, it will
go wrong and at the worst time possible too! <<<

>>>Yeah, unless you bring a laptop with you, there's no way to restore any
lost data. Bummer, but i don't think anyone's had a problem with that.

The sequencer is pretty stable as long as you aren't editing. That's when it craps out. If your performances are fast and contain note and controller heavy tracks, you can slow down the response of the front panel pretty easily, but this isn't going to be a problem most of the time.
The most glaring missing preformance feature is the inability to undo or erase without stopping sequencer, which makes the unit a no-go for >;real
You have 7 banks of 127 sequences in the unit. Even at the most aggressive tempos, you are likely to need sleep long before you run out of sequences during a set.
