Sorry guys, a couple people pointed out some errors in the last FAQ (mostly a couple wrong links) and I added a new BTS topic. It's at: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/xl7/files/ rEalm

The FAQ mentions that you should un-install E-Loader and then install the Sun Java VM and then re-install E-Loader. All that need to know stuff about Java etc. goes away in E-Loader 1.1 which contains its own private copy of the necessary Java libraries. So there is no more a need for users to update to the Sun VM and no more need to un-install and re-install in any situation. It is now all done automatically for you by the E-Loader 1.1 Installer. (This topic is touched on in the Read Me file that comes with E-Loader 1.1) Thanks, Scott

Sorry about that Scott, I didn't have the new E-Loader when I wrote the FAQ update. I'll change that and all the other stuff later on today. BTW, great job on the new 1.1, it makes transfer times next to nothing now. Too bad I spent awhile trying to get it to load my OS before I saw the note inthe Read Me! :) One thing though, I tried a couple times to install it via the included instructions with no luck (Win XP). It wouldn't load the Type 0 and 1 drivers when I plugged in the XL-7 to the USB port (yes the XL-& was powered on too). Not a big deal as I just went to Device Manger and manually installed them, but others not as comptuer savvy might not know how to do that. Just a FYI. rEalm Sorry I didn't mention this before you posted the new version of the FAQ, but the information on 'why can't I get E-Loader to work' should be changed.
