Old south american trance group

Another question. Here is a long shot :) I've been looking for this track, was sure I had it on some old backup drive, but can't find it.

When the XL-7 came out, I believe E-Mu sponsored a two-man psytrance act from Argentina, or possibly Costa Rica or Brazil, or even Chile. But probably Argentina. They were featured as a link on the E-Mu homepage, I believe. They had a few tracks, quite possibly on mp3.com, one was called "endless" something.

That's literally all I remember! Does anybody have a clue who I'm talking about?

I don't seem to have these. Do you remember the names of any other files?  I think I remember some files--not sure if they were songs or preset demos. Just remembered--the ones I had were mpga files of the XROM demo songs:

D1_ArticDrift.mpga
D2_BeatPusher.mpga
D3_InTheAir.mpga
D4_ShaindatAss.mpga
FireEscape.mpga
Russsong.mpga
SubTerrain.mpga

Perhaps they had mpga files of others, including the one you want. Its a long shot, but try seaching for *.mgpa files as that may have been the file format E-Mu used. (Evidently I downloaded the above files in 2002.)

The only other thing I have are the files from the Groove Sharing page (midi files of patterns, all for the XL-7 ROM):

Pattern Name :: Finalizer
ROMs used :: XL-7
Author :: S. Wilhelmsen
Tempo :: 110
Style :: Slow Groove

Pattern Name :: Not I
ROMs used :: XL-7
Author :: S. Wilhelmsen

Pattern Name :: D&B 1

Pattern Name :: D&B 2

Tempo :: 171
Style :: Dark D&B

Pattern Name :: K Down
ROMs used :: XL-7
Author :: S. Wilhelmsen / D. Becker
Tempo :: 100
Style :: Cali Electronica

Pattern Name :: Espy
ROMs used :: XL-7
Author :: S. Wilhelmsen
Tempo :: 152
Style :: D&B Mood

Pattern Name :: Faucet Drip
ROMs used :: XL-7

Style :: Film Score D&B

Pattern Name :: Mamdala
ROMs used :: XL-7

I know its not what you are looking for, but I figured as long as I search and found these, I'd share the info.

Let us know if you find any others.

No, these were not factory demos. Perhaps I remember wrong and they were not supported by E-Mu. I do remember that I found them when looking (with Altavista!) for information about the XL-7 though; I desperately wanted one but they were just too expensive for me back then. But I actually do think I remember there being some kind of poster-like picture with this group, saying that they were using the XL-7. Since it was what 15 years ago, my memory is most likely a bit distorted though! It could just as well have been just some guys with a page on mp3.com.

Only track I remember had a name like "endless loop" or "forever endless" or "repeating forever" or something like that. It was sort a down tempo psy trance track. They also had regular 140bpm tracks.

I've used my google fu skillz but I don't think they are available on teh interwebs, so that's why I'm putting out this long-shot request, just in case somebody remembers.

Turns out it was indeed "Axis Chemical Company", the track called "Endless Groove - Live mix" on mp3.com! They were based in Atlanta though, don't know why I thought it was Argentina, must have been other group (oh no, a new quest)

I'm so going to donate to the Wayback Machine!

Nice that you found it.  Thanks for the wayback machine link to an older e-mu site.  If you find out how I can get them files they are missing, let me know.

You mean how you can send them old mp3 files? Ask them! I think it is possible.

But if you mean how you can download the Axis Chemical mp3s, well, it just sort of worked. I clicked the mp3.com download button, and it opened a popup that said the file wasn't indexed. But when I clicked, in that popup, the link "find all files indexed under"...something, suddenly it worked and I downloaded the files! They aren't anything special though, sound like half-decent demo tracks for the XL-7, but it was just irritating that I couldn't find the mp3s :)
