Version 1.0 to 2.0

I think I have the software I need (eLoader, Command Prep, Command Station 2.0) - will I be able to do a straight upgrade from version 1.0 to 2.0 on my XL-7? What sort of issues might I run into? My laptop is running Windows 7. I'll need a USB to computer; midi in/out to XL-7 in addition to software files to get it done?
