Word Instrument from Planet Earth sale

Re: [xl7] Word Instrument from Planet Earth sale

Good luck!

World Expedition, TSCY, B3 and Siedlack (sp?) usually go in the $250.00 plus range on eBay.

Next tier is Beat Garden, Protozoa and Sounds of the ZR close to $200.00 ... then the bargains start.

I just monitor prices on e-bay. I've never seen a World Expedition ROM for under $250.00 in the past year and a half. There is a good price on a Protozoa right now at 'Buy It Now' for $145.00 ... but a TSCY ROM is on auction starting a $299.00!

If you are in a big city with lots of pawn shops you can find bargains, but even pawn brokers are all over eBay these days.

Re: [xl7] Word Instrument from Planet Earth sale

Tscy goes for a lot and is almost unfindable at times. Can be 300 just for rom. I have it but ironically I almost never use it. I should use it more but its not in any of my command stations so it gets no love.
Beat garden rom I can usually find for $150 or less. I also use that a lot more. Some people say it sucks I don't know why. Beat square is a pretty fat bass patch. Rob papen is still a badass.
I found rack mount modules: orbit 3, orbit 9090, xl1, and proteus2k for $400 together as a package and am very very happy.
When I bought world I paid 190 for the rom. I don't think I would pay more than that. World is a good card with lots of good world percussion. Its useful. I use it a lot for percussion lines bongo rhythms and tribal stuff. It has flutes and stuff I never use. It also has some fat synth waves in it.
Definite best value is xl7 which u can get for $50 online for the rom.
I enjoy making custom layered percussion + bass synth patches with world + beat, and routing a knob to pitch of one or both layers. I then enjoy routing two empty tracks to that channel and putting the notes on one and knob changes on the other. Good times.
Best,
Matt

I don't know how long ago that might have been ... but that was a fantastic deal. You should be happy!
