Change daw to 384 ppqn before import?

when sending a sequence to daw should the daw be set to 384 ppqn first? that is, if i plan to send the sequence back again to the command station? i think i can get around using song mode this way by playing my track mutes live into daw but shoud keep it set at 384 ppqn no? maybe once i build a basic track i can commit to audio and start a higher ppqn project and go from there
