e-loader on win7 64

e-loader on win7 64

Couldn't find anything about this in the search...

Is it possible to get this to work?

Also, just to add to this question, do either Proteum or Prodatum work with the USB connection or do they have to use midi?

I've got mine installed fine, and it will load up (have to run as administrator during install). I just can't get windows to recognize my emu-mp7.

Do you know what Device ID your MP7 is set at? You might set it at Device ID "0" or "1" for e-loader to pick it up.

Windows gives me an error message when the emu is plugged in via usb that says it's an unrecognized device. I haven't had a chance to try midi. Just a note also, I'm not the original poster. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Yes, have you tried running the installer with administrator privileges? My eloader starts up on win 7 64. I have successfully installed it.

Yeah, I have. I'm pretty sure I'm logged in as admin anyway but just to be sure I clicked run as admin... and still the same.

Any idea if i'm losing out on features by not having access to the loader?

Try running it in windows xp compatibility mode. If that doesn't work, try it in other comp modes.

I can't remember which one worked for me, but one of those did (compatibility mode or admin).

Hi,
I have E-loader running Windows 7, using XP compatibility mode settings. E-loader is a stripped down tool for preset and pattern copying, replacing.Prodatum and Proteum are much more in depth tools, allowing preset editing, arpeggiator editing. Prodatum, has the most control and the programmer for Prodatum was absolutely great about communicating when she was developing the product.
The errror you have identified below makes me believe that it might be an XP compatibility issue.

Tried compat mode and compat mode as admin... Still no dice. Maybe safe mode?

Well, I've tried pretty much everything I can think of at this point. The closest I got was running the windows virtual xp mode. That mode allowed me to install the software and USB driver. Unfortunately I can't get my soundcard installed so there's no way to get midi hooked up. At least to my knowledge anyway. Anyone know if I can do all the e-loader stuff with prodatum or proteum?

Hi there,
i am using E-Loader on win7, it'srunning perfect.
Win7, have the posibility to set in the properties of each file a compatibility mode. Just click right on mouse and select properties.
Then select compatibility tab and there you are.
You can check 'Run this in compatibility mode for:' and then select WinXP, or other version.
It is very easy,

yes, you need to install in compatibility mode XP, and run as admin.
