Compound sysex messages

So here's my next sysex question: is it doable to glue two, or more sysex commands in the same F0..F7 message? For example if I'm trying to set the filter type on layer 1 of the preset in the edit buffer to "Smooth" should something like F0..55 01 02 02 07 00 00 01 0C 01 00 F7 work?
