I spent a lot of time testing earlier versions. Somewhere along the line, I started having lockup crashes of Prodatum on the same XP PC I had pervious success with. The problems you have might be related to Win7, but not necessarily.
For years I had problems with E-Mu usb drivers on XP, then somewhere around XPSP2 or SP3, they started working. I read somewhere that MS did something with usb enumeration that made the XP drivers work at long last. I believe I documented the issue in the group.
I know nothing about Win7, but don't expect E-Mu to release drivers for their legacy gear. However, don't give up--perhaps several years down the road there might be a Win7SP that solves the problem. It was years after I made the switch from Win98 to XP before the E-Mu drivers worked!
