Arpeggiator octaves

Arpeggiator octaves

2010-10-03 by Matt

Hi all
Recently I have been playing with the arpeggiator. I have a microkorg which I can get to send arpeggios to the cs where I press one key (say, c) and it will octave up as many octaves as I have it programmed to. i would like to do this internally without the korg. I can get it to do arpeggiated notes but I can find no such octave setting.  Admittedly I have only skimmed the manual. Any help?
Thanks
Matt

The XL7 is much more versatile with arps than that Korg is so the programming has many more options.....use "extension interval" to get the step size between the arp notes and "extension count" for the number of intervals.  To do the run-of-the-mill basic arp, set interval to "12" (an octave) and count to the number of octaves you want to arp...

Glad you mentioned this, Bob. While I have played around a little with these (arp extension interval and count), the thought of using them with forced keys (tunings) is triggering a whole bunch of new performance options to explore.
