crazy shuffles
2010-05-03 by Atom Smasher
here's an unexpected application of the "volume peak" trick, applied to
LFO: crazy shuffles with real-time control.
this trick seems limited to working with "noise snare" or similar sounds
that can be triggered with only the AEnvTrig and/or FEnvTrig. if anyone
can work around that limitation i'd be glad to hear about it.
the settings below are really just starting points. the more you
experiment with them, the more you will be rewarded.
start with LFO1; shape: triangle; speed: 1/4
this lets a knob adjust the "shuffle":
1) LFO1+ -> Abs +100
2) MidiA -> Abs -100
3) Abs -> AEnvTrig +1
this uses "ClkWhole" to alternate between two "shuffles" but also allows
adjustment with a knob:
1) LFO1+ -> Abs +50
2) MidiA -> C03 +10
3) ClkWhole -> Abs -33
3) Abs -> AEnvTrig +1
