You can trigger the orbit 1 or 2 module via MIDI though --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, tom johnson <doggtel@...> wrote:

Thank you, Other than one filter I've seen on the Orbit "Bottom Feeder", my MP-7 has all the filters the Orbit does. I've heard alot of the same samples from the orbit on the XL-7 rom. I guess I'm trying to justify keeping it. It still can sound cool, but can't the MP-7 do the same thing.. even a little better? --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, "bobsvitilla" <bobsvitilla@...> wrote:

Just wondering, why would someone do this? What kind of functionality would be added by modifying the gear? I do have a broken UltraProteus that cannot receive midi. Other than that, the synth engine and display seems perfect. If I could somehow modify it to accept/generate data comparable to what comes via midi, I'd be willing to try some mods. Have you done mods? --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, Alwyn <zardac@...> wrote:
