2009-07-24 by Jane

Hey,

I recently found this editor and it works perfectly on my XL-7!
http://prodatum.sourceforge.net/

Good luck...

LMAO!!!!! This is sooooooooooooooo funny!!!!

Jan is the developer of Prodatum!!!!
See http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/xl7/message/19819

You have been a member for a few years (possibly with 2 different addresses/IDs), but your XL-7 group e-mail is turned off. That might explain why you didn't know about Prodatum (and other stuff) from the group.

You might want to change that so you will receive the Digest version--once a day (only if there are posts) instead of receiving every e-mail separately.

Anyway, welcome back.

PS: My guess is that Jan is delighted to hear another success story with Prodatum.

Hi Steve,
Thanks for sending the info; and you are correct, I have been a member before. It had been so long since the last time I logged in that I had forgotten my user name and password. Anyways, great group.

Hehe, well do I feel stupid :)

You are right - I haven't been around in a while but recently fired-up my xl-7 after coming across prodatum. Only after did I see all the prodatum threads.

Well Jan, let me say first thank you = prodatum works flawlessly here so far and has really opened up this box (w 4 roms) into a MONSTER. My sincere appreciation and gratitude. Since I am here I have 3 questions:

- when I copy settings from one layer, how do I paste these settings?
I just can't find a way - it must be obvious...

- Is there an option to tranpose individual layers? I can only see the master transpose knob.

Thanks again, and I have now switched-on e-mail notification :)

J

there should come up a dialog which lets you choose the destination
(voice 1-4) when you press COPY in one of the voice strips for example.
a device must have been opened to make this work.

yeah, in the keyboard window you can transpose voices using the keys:
- open the keyboard window
- select the voice (or "layer") you want to transpose (above the
keyboard is a selector 1|2|3|4)
- middle-click a key to transpose the selected voice (the grey key
indicates the transpose key)

cheers,
jan
