Does anyone need command station parts or roms?

Does anyone need command station parts or roms?

2009-01-14 by solacerodgers

I am done with trying to fix my command station it works 100% but will
not read roms so if you need one for parts or midi controller or
whatever hit me up with a offer US only. I also now have a mp7 and xl7
roms that i cant use so if you need them make a resonable offer. I also
have the original manual and a lamp for it if anyone is looking for
those.

peace

Greetings:

Don't know if you checked this or not, but the EMu mainboard ROM module
connectors are notorious for causing wierd little problems like that.
I'm not sure if it's an issue of cold solder joints or of the pins
actually breaking in place and although they look OK, they don't make
connection. I had a module that had to have the ROM socket replaced -
after that, perfect! It would be a shame to part it out if that is all
that's wrong, so you might check into it just one more time ;-) ...

Peace & blessings

I spent 80 bucks to have the local music shop look at it and they said they did not find anything wrong with it and I have no clue what to look for or do in this area and I assume it is a simple problem as everything else on the machine works perfect. Is there a place you can suggest that could look at it or is it something you could do for a small fee? Thanks because your right i hate to give it when it works so well.

previous poster is right- I had similar problem with my XL7, not
reading any roms. reseated every rom, not just the ones with noises on
them, & it came good. the command station chassis is a bit easy to
upset with vibrations; you'd think that they would've stuck things
together a bit tighter, what with it having drum pads on the top & all.

also check the light grey ribbon cables & connectors; these come loose
really easily, especially if someone has taken the thing apart for
service & peeled off the glue that used to hold these plugs in.

good luck- the command stations are flawed-but-cool toys.

Duncan did you ever get yours up and running again? I unplugged every cable and checked the pins to make sure none had broken or pulled off as well, I think I tried everything I know lol it sucks.
