Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

i'm just starting to dive into the xl7... and it does seem deeper than 
whale shit!

one thing i've noticed a few times, and found someone else mentioned in a 
different forum, is that sometimes when i change patterns the presets are 
not correct. if i change out of the pattern and back in, the presets seem 
to be right again. what's up with that???

i am using OS 2.

Diagnostic question: When this happens (that is, when the presets are 
not correct), what happens if you press STOP twice?

next time it happens, i'll let you know.

more diagnostics i should probably investigate... what presets does it say 
are loaded? what about after pressing stop? pressing it a second time?

i thought it might be relevant that my xl7 is probably early hardware, but 
the other person who described the problem had a px7, which must've been 
later hardware.
