Anyone care to show some mc505er's what they can do?

Hey all, Don't know if anyone's interested, but on the mc505 list we're having another contest I thought you might be interested in. It's a "groovebox" only contest, where each entrant has to write a < 7:00 minute tune using nothing more than a single piece of self contained equipment (in our case, the XX-7's). Since so many people have sold their 505's on that list, we opened it up to any of the non-sampling boxes, such as (but not limited to) XX-7, mc505, RM1x, ER/EA/EM-1, and mc307, etc. I thought you guys might like the chance to show 'em what you can do. The catch? You can't use any external gear at all, no sequencers, no software mastering, no plug ins, nada. Just the XX-7 in Song mode, or you can perform a Pattern in real-time and record it to an external recorder. Yeah that's a huge limitation for those of us with other gear we typically use, but that's the point of the contest. To try something new and learn a different way of working, hopefully learning more about the XX-7's in the process. It's all on the honor system, and there's really no prize, so there's nothing to gain by cheating other than hurting others chances for no reason. If anyone's interested, let me know and I'll post the full rules, website for posting, and more info. Peace and beats, rEalm
