Before i toss em on ebay does anyone want??????

I have a mp-7 that works fine except the rom board is not reading roms
for some reason. You can buy it to try and fix or scrap for parts or
save for parts but everything else works and i have been using it as a
midi controller. Asking 150.00

the rom from the mp7 asking 150.00

a x-lead version 2 rom asking 125.00

US only please and if you need info please drop me a email. thanks guys.

What are you trying to do? Are you asking if you can modulate the
frequency of a ROM-based sample by a waveform? If so, (unless I'm
mistaken) you are limited to whatever you can do with the LFOs and
Patchcords.

What am I doing wrong with the efx?

2008-10-02 by Andrew

It's my understanding that the effects on the XL-7 can either be used on only 1 preset, using the effects setting stored in that preset... or set up to run the same effects setting on every midi channel, using the 4 sends to control the amount of effect applied to each send, as well as selecting which output that send is routed to... or bypassed all together. When I bypass the effects, as expected, there are no effects... cool. However when I try to only run effects on one preset, I end up hearing that presets stored effects setting on every channels preset... and whenever I set it up to apply its effects to all presets through the sends, it works pretty much the way I think it should, except that whatever I set to sends 2 and 3 (sub mix 1 and 2) also shows up at the main output, even with those send levels all set to 0. I guess what I'm trying to accomplish is, if I set it up to only run its effects on one preset, that the effects only appear on that preset, and not on all of them... or if I set it up to apply its effects to everything through the sends, that whatever I route to sends 2 and 3 will only out-put the dry audio at the 2 sub-mixes if I set their send levels to 0. Any ideas?

Andrew

RE: [xl7] What am I doing wrong with the efx?

2008-10-02 by Andrew

I have a couple of outboard efx processors that I like to use... so for instance, if I want to route my snares and cymbals to one of my out-board reverb processors through submix 1... I select those tracks (which are on their corresponding midi channels) and route them to send 2. I get the dry audio from those tracks/channels at submix 1, but the dry audio also shows up at the main-output as well. I understand that if I turn the send amout for send 2 past 0, that I should be hearing the wet audio at the mains, and the dry on the sub... but if it is set to 0, then I should only get the dry on the sub, and nothing at the main....but no matter what I do, I can't get it out of the main. And whenever I switch efx modes, (to apply efx to only 1 preset) the efx saved in whatever preset is assigned to the selected channel applies it's efx settings to every preset on every channel. Confusing, huh?

wanted: protozoa rom

2008-11-13 by Greg Waltzer

I'm looking for a Protozoa (Sounds of the proteus 1,2,3) ROM.
Let me know if you have one you would like to sell. Thanks!

If you have an e-mu sampler, I have a spare Formula 4000 Protozoa CD-
ROM [original] which can converted to Proteus XV/Proteus X format. I
have been thinking of selling. It has the following banks:

Proteus 1 Presets
Proteus 1 Instruments
Proteus 2 Presets
Proteus 2 Instruments
Proteus 3 Presets
Proteus 3 Instruments
Vintage Keys Plus Presets
Vintage Keys Instruments
Vintage Keys Plus Instruments
Orbit Presets
Orbit Presets 4K
Orbit Instruments
Planet Phatt Presets
Planet Phatt Presets 4K
Planet Phatt Instruments

Why do I have two? I liked it so much, I bought the spare before I
figued out how to burn my own back up.

(And please don't anyone ask if I want to sell a copy. I will not do
that.)
