Please add Bob S to the selection list in the new poll so we can all vote. He is the mod for the other emu groups and is the most qualified to do this. Bryant

Thank you Bryant, for the vote of confidence. In addition to the Emu groups am also one of the Yamaha A5000 moderators. I would be more than happy to help with any of the xl7 moderation as I have access to the groups most 18 hours of the day. Note that I can't change the poll without clearing the votes. We just need yahoo to appoint at least one person so that person can appoint whomever. If Bob wants to, he's more than welcome to! -Aaron ----- Original Message ---- From: Bob S. <tttsystems@...> To: xl7@yahoogroups.com Sent: Thursday, May 29, 2008 7:37:37 AM Subject: Re: [xl7] Add Bob S (bob at work) to the poll Thank you Bryant, for the vote of confidence. Thanks Aaron and hi all....rather than stop and restart the vote, let's get a someone in-place fast so we can take back our group from the spammers and then I will be happy to moderate/co-moderate, etc., whatever seems best for us.... Bob, Are you the moderator of the "serious" Command Station group that was set up specifically so that people would leave this group? As I stated before when others were actively being encouraged to leave this group, there is such a wealth of archived knowledge here, that I would hate to see it become unavailable. Yahoo is big enough to have multiple groups; there is no need for competition, acquisitions, or mergers--especially one that would result in the loss of the accumulated knowledge base. --Steve > This group has become overun with spamers. No. Be real....I want no one to leave the group, it is a vast and deep source of knowledge and motivation for many of us....I just want to get rid of spammers and if helping to moderate does that, I wish to help..... As I implied before, everyone needs to vote for either Steve or Aaron so we can get control of the moderation of the group. Anything else can be decided later...... Hey Steve, The other group was set up in the event this group became overrun as many other groups on Yahoo have. We were very fortunate that Arron was able to get Yahoo to reassign the moderator before we were overrun. The other group will no longer be necessarry. I am certain now that we have moderation this group will function as a normal group without all of the crap we have been dealing with. /i know that Bob does an excellent job with the other groups I am in that he moderates and am sure that Aaron will do well considering he would not have went to all of this trouble if he were no serious about this group. You will be very happy to note the following: (1) In the files section, there is now a "Please investigate" folder for legitimate members to identify past spammers with a simple text message containing the username of the suspected spammer. I will be happy to invesitgate the message, delete it if it is spam, and remove the spammer. (2) I have successfully deleted a number of spam messages and the spammers that created them. (3) I did not delete the replies of legitimate members to spam because in many cases they are quite funny. Hope this helps. --steve_the_censor --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, "Bryant" <bryant@...> wrote: > > Hey Steve, > > The other group was set up in the event this group became overrun as > many other groups on Yahoo have.
