Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

I have a P2K with OS 1.3 - it's only recognizing the Composer ROM and the Beat Garden, and 
doesn't see the XL-1 or the Pop ROM... methinks it's the OS, as my MP-7 sees them both... 
anyone got a clue? ...where would I find the OS 2, and detailed instructions for loading?

Most of us have a clue.....as most of us have done the Emu update a couple of years ago....

Start on the E-mu web site here:

http://www.emu.com/support/legacy.asp

and download the OS and E-loader application.  Read the documentation with the downloads.

Refer to this Yahoo group file & message archives, there are FAQ on OS update that is applicable to the P2K, also there is a P2K Yahoo group and an XL-1 Yahoo group.

I found the OS on the Emu site... it's up to v2.26 now...
...and, yes... I do work a Mac.... anything I should know?

Version 2.26?

Could you provide a link please?  as i was under the impression that
EMU had stopped the OS development at version 2.0

THe other thing to note is that the E-loader software for mac only
runs under os9 and not os x.

so if you have an intel mac you'll probably need to do some dual boot
magic to load the new OS..

OS2.0 is the last OS upgrade for Command Stations and P2500 (until 
such time that OS3.0 descends from the heavens).

OS2.26 is the last OS for single rack unit P2K-based synths.

Not sure what the keyboard units take.
