Is it possible to fit an empty ROM into command station with my own samples ????

Hello everyone, I am newbie to emu command stations. I own mk-6 keys, which is great rompler/synth. I want to know is it possible to buy an empty ROM, fit it into XL7 and than use a usb to load samples, and patches and then tweak them with emu engine ( filters, lfo's, envelopes, etc) ??? I can't find straight answer. Thank you in advance, have a nice day
