I tested it out last night, and it worked. But I also found out that
the problem wasn't with the XL-7. The "EXTERNAL SONG START/STOP"
function was already set to "accepted". I had to change one of the
settings on the AW16G to send MIDI start/stop messages. This
function has always been set to "on" whenever I've started the AW16G
in the past, so I took it for granted that it was the same this time
(and that the problem lied with the XL-7). Thanks for your help
